In most cases, 10-12 km is the amount that can be walked in a couple of hours with rest breaks and sight stops. You will not need to run anywhere, get up early and take several meals with you. Perfect for some easy and joyful day.
14 km walk near Riga, where you will get to know the Zakumuiza surroundings, its manor and the Nagelmuiza linden tree park.SEE THE ROUTE

10+ km walk near Riga in the Garkalne nature reserve. Here you can enjoy pine forests, the small Bullezers lake and Krievupe river.SEE THE ROUTE
Kaucminde – Bornsminde

ALMOST A HIKE
One day walks that are 15-20 km long, you can already say that you have been on a hike (although you can always say that who controls this?). Most likely going for these walks you will have to spend most of the day because usually you will have to travel to the walk starting point. It is worth bringing water and some food with you. Probably after the walk you will feel some enjoyable tiredness in the evening.
Baldone route is 20 km long, near Riga and extraordinarily rich in sightseeing. Starting with luxuriously restored manors, ending with an abandoned sanatorium.SEE THE ROUTE

Malpils – Sidgunda
16 km route from Malpils to Sidgunda and back. This time more walking than sights, on the way you will get to explore Mālpils manor and an abandoned recreation base.SEE THE ROUTE
Berzciems – Engure lake
15 km long walk along the sea, visiting wild horses, orchids and enjoying coastal forests.SEE THE ROUTE
Suntazi – Upespils – Suntazi
20 km long walk in the area of Suntazi, during which you will see many historical objects – the former railway, a ruined church and others.SEE THE ROUTE
Seda and Seda moor
15 km walk along the much-heard Seda. Go on a trip to one of the most unique cities in Latvia.SEE THE ROUTE
Vaidava – The Big Ansis
19 km easy walk around several lakes, it is an alternative way to enjoy the golden autumn or simply to visit smaller towns.SEE THE ROUTE
A walk over 20 km is definitely a hike! Be ready for a full day of fun, with several more serious rest breaks (unless you are in sports mode). It is necessary to think about taking some weather and food with you, find appropriate hiking shoes and plan this day in advance. The next day you will have some good after taste that you had walked yesterday.
